Jazz Concerto For Organ & Orchestra (chamber)
Although it may seem strange to have an Organ concerto listed under Chamber music, the visitor should note that, as the piano part is a reduction of the orchestra score, and is not merely a slimmed down rehearsal score, it is worthy to be included under Chamber as a genuine partner to the organ. As an organist will have few opportunities to play this piece with orchestra, I (the composer!) have always thought it might be an exciting idea to perform the concerto with: either another organ, (electronic?) or a grand piano. Or alternately the solo part could be performed on the outboard organ, with the on site organ could play the orchestral part. Movements can also be played as separate works.
